Pines Family Recreation Area

Pines Family Recreation Area was established in 1962 as a ski area, with a single rope tow. Since then, the Pines has grown to include four lifts and a 12000 sq. ft. day lodge.

The Pines is the only ski area in Northern Indianan built on high moraine left behind by the same glaciers that carved Lake Michigan. Come enjoy a day on the slopes or night with our lighted runs. From the top of the hill, on a clear day, you can see Chicago 50 miles away!

In 2006, the Pines opened in the summer for the first time in many years. Activities offered from April to November are currently Alpine Slide, Scenario and Speed ball paint ball, and Mountain biking. The Pines is a great place for any family to spend an afternoon. In the future, we plan to expand warm weather activities to include go-karting, mini golf, kids play area, a zip line, and high ropes course.

The Pines Family Recreation area is a great place to bring any group or party we offer discounted rates for groups of ten or more. The snack kitchen, located in the lodge, offers great burgers, pizza, drinks, ice cream and much more. For groups, we can cater food service to your needs.

We offer great group rates for Corporate & Company outings, reunions, youth groups, church groups, scouts, birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette parties and more.
